When we Do Wrong, we Destroy ourself”

April 12, 2026 | by aashishgautam265@gmail.com

Marcus Aurelius says that he who does wrong, does wrong against himself; he who does injustice against others does injustice against himself because he makes himself bad.

Lets apply this statement to the law of karma. It is an eternal principle that we face the consequences of our actions. The Bible also says, “As you sow, so you reap.”

When someone wrongs another person through actions like cheating, fraud, lying to cause harm, or taking bribes for admission, they are just making trouble for themselves. They do not understand this at the time. But when the consequences of their bad deeds come—like a serious illness, loss of money, or going to jail—they realize that they have made their own life a living hell.

Buddha also says that a sinner feels good until the consequences of their sins catch up with them; when they do, the sinner weeps.
