Gratitude for Trees

February 26, 2026 | by aashishgautam265@gmail.com

Imagine the pain of a small wound on your finger. Now imagine the pain trees must endure when they are cut down for our selfish needs.

Science has proven, that trees and plants possess life. They too have a soul and deserve our respect. Yet, we destroy them, despite all they give us—oxygen, fruits, shade. Instead of gratitude, we repay their kindness with destruction.

In doing so, we not only harm ourselves but also displace countless animals who lose their homes. If someone were to ask me whether I would bow before God or a tree, I would choose the tree.

There are two reasons for that.

First, if there is a God, He is present in the form of a tree—the basis of life. Second, I have never seen God, but I see the gifts of a tree every day.

Every person should plant as many trees as possible. The greater the wealth one possesses, the greater the responsibility to nurture the earth.
