No Bail to Criminals

October 1, 2026 | by aashishgautam265@gmail.com

I read in a newspaper that a man had murdered someone from a family, for which he was sentenced to life imprisonment. But after one year, he was released on bail, and he went on to murder two more people from the same family. Now he is being sentenced to death.

But my question is: why wasn’t this man given the death penalty in the first place? And, more importantly, on what basis did that judge grant bail to this criminal? Isn’t that judge also, somewhere, responsible for this crime, having granted bail to such a monster?

Why is bail granted so easily in our legal system? Why do we give criminals bail on the basis that they too have human rights and freedom?

We need to eliminate such old and disgusting laws from society and create a very strict law.

I believe that in serious cases such as murder, rape, and sexual harassment, the person should be given the death penalty. And while giving judgment in such cases, there should be at least two women judges, especially in matters concerning women. Because a woman can understand another woman’s pain and suffering, and she can take crimes against women more seriously and give stricter punishment.
