Never sell your soul for anyone. It is the one thing that came with you and will leave with you.
In this world, people care about many things, most of which are meaningless—like what others think about us, or whether people will like our clothes or not.
If people lose ₹500, they become restless like mad and start searching even in places where there is no hope of finding it. But they make no effort to elevate their priceless soul—the very thing they have to live with for their entire life and might goes after death also.
People sell their soul over the smallest things. Someone begs in politics just to gain votes, someone gives bribes to grow their business, and someone gives false testimony for a little money. This is not just about ordinary people; even highly educated individuals in powerful positions are no different.
A judge takes millions in bribes and sells justice. A professor uses manipulative tricks to get ahead and sells his knowledge.
From my experience, whenever we are about to do something wrong, or even think to do, our inner voice tries to stop us again and again. But we choose to ignore it.
But the question is—why are people selling their soul? The answer is simple: people are deeply attached to materialism. They are obsessed with position and money, which stay with them only for a short time.
Yet, they do not care about the eternal soul, which is the only true source of lasting happiness.
A truly wise person understands that real life lies in living in alignment with one’s inner voice, even in solitude. For such a person, external validation does not matter; what matters is being true to one’s own soul.
Such a person does not get entangled in the chaos of the outside world. They need very little to live and do not depend much on others. They distance themselves from people because the world is full of selfish and greedy individuals.
True person thought instead of making relationships with such fake people, it is far better to build a relationship with oneself. When even love is often based on selfishness, a sincere person asks—why not love myself instead?
In the end, I just want to say this: a true person should not care whether others consider them successful or not. For them, there is only one real success—living according to the voice of their soul and never selling it to temptation .
