We take one step at a time. We take one breath at a time. Nature gives us one day to live at a time. The sun rises and sets in a single day, and the same principle governs our lives—one step at a time. However, most of us forget this natural concept.
We often try to live multiple days in one moment, thinking we need to complete an entire year’s work in a single day. This is a major cause of stress, and it decreases the quality of our work. For instance, imagine a man worrying about whether he will be able to feed his family today or find work tomorrow. He should remind himself of Jesus’s saying:“Give us this day our daily bread.”.
Nature’s advice is simple: focus on the day you have. Use it fully. As the ancient Romans said, “Don’t let today slip away—make the most of it.” Enjoy your day with family, friends, and the resources you currently have. As the Bible beautifully puts it: “This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.”. Remember, life unfolds one day at a time. Live it fully, and you will find peace, joy, and success.
