Habituation is a psychological process in which you gradually stop responding to a repeated stimulus because it is no longer new or important.
For example:
1.When you move into a new house, you may notice the sound of traffic every day. After a few weeks, you hardly notice it anymore. This is habituation.
2. At first, the ticking of a clock may distract you, but after some time, you stop hearing it consciously.
3. When you first wear a watch, you constantly feel it on your wrist. Later, you barely notice it.
