“We Suffer More in Imagination Than in Reality”

We all carry a hidden fear inside us. This fear takes many forms. It can be the fear of the unknown, the fear of judgment, or the fear of rejection. Because of these fears, people often fail to take steps toward their dreams.
I have realized something important. People are not afraid of hard work. They are afraid of the terrifying images created by their own minds.
Before taking any action, they imagine everything that could go wrong. They picture failure, embarrassment, and disappointment. In doing so, they use the incredible power of visualization against themselves.
Consider a student preparing for a PhD. Before sending even a single email to a professor, the student’s mind starts creating negative scenarios. “What if the professor never replies?” “What if they think I am not qualified enough?” “Am I really ready to contact them?” “What if they reject me?” “What if they don’t offer me a scholarship?” Days and weeks pass while the student keeps thinking about these questions. Yet none of these fears are real at that moment. No professor has rejected them. No scholarship decision has been made. Everything exists only in their imagination.
If you look closely, you will notice that most of our fears exist only in the mind. They have not become reality. They are not happening right now. Yet the mind keeps us trapped inside these imaginary fear
This is the tragedy. The problem is right in front of us, but we do nothing. We sit and wait while fear steals our precious human life.
Every person must fight this battle within themselves. They must challenge their fears. And in this fight, the most powerful weapon is a meaningful goal.
Our goal should be so important and so close to our heart that it pulls us forward despite our fears. It should give us the strength to take the next step.
In the end, courage is not the absence of fear. Courage is taking action despite fear. And that willingness to act is the only key to overcoming it.
