Fakir Determination

In the South, the birthday of a great musician was being celebrated. This happened about three hundred years ago. He had many great friends, disciples, and even kings and emperors who organized the event together. It was his sixtieth birthday. Thousands of disciples brought gifts.

A poor fakir was also his disciple. He used to beg on the streets while playing a tambourine. He had nothing. After midnight, when most people had already given their gifts and left, the beggar came to the door and said to the gatekeepers, “Let me in. I also want to give something to my master.”

But his hands were empty and his clothes were torn. The gatekeeper said, “You don’t have anything with you.”

He replied, “I am here and that’s enough.”

The gatekeeper thought he was mad and tried to send him away, but somehow he went inside.

By then, everyone was about to leave. The whole place was filled with expensive gifts worth crores. The beggar went to the Guru, placed his head at his feet, and said, “I have also brought a gift. Will you accept it?”

The Guru saw that his hands were empty and said, “But I don’t see any gift.”

The beggar stood with folded hands and said, “God, I have nothing to give. May my Guru have my life.” Saying this, he took his last breath and fell down.

This is great power of determination
