The Illusion of Education: Why Our System Creates Repeaters, Not Thinkers

The biggest flaw which I have found in our whole academic education system is that we think by reading other persons’ books, stories, theories, and quotes, we become an educated person.
Our whole education system has just made us a great parrot who repeats other persons’ ideas without having their own originality. The more we repeat, the bigger scholar we become.
In school, I can understand that it is difficult to know your true nature and to form your own original thought. So it is good that we read moral stories and other foundational subjects.
But our education system tries to extend this to the graduation, Master’s, and even PhD level. There, we read other persons’ abstract theories and memorize them to become toppers.
No one asks, have you applied any theory in your life?
Forget about others. We ourselves do not have the courage to ask from themselves: I read so many stories and ethical values, but did they become part of my personality? Have I even applied 10% of them?
As long as we remain trapped in a rigid academic structure, real education will remain incomplete.
However, I believe a shift is possible. With the rise of artificial intelligence, access to information is no longer the main challenge. AI can teach any subject or theory as effectively as our teachers. The real challenge now is the application of knowledge for the betterment of humanity.
In my heart, I know courageous thinkers will bring a day when every person will get independence to write a thesis on their own original thoughts and practical matters, without the mercy of their supervisor.
A day will come when we understand that the highest purpose of life is to know thyself.
A day will come when we study for the development of mind, heart, thought, and deeds.
A day will come when we study for our own betterment and the betterment of humanity, rather than for the greed of accumulating more and more degrees.
A day will come when universities teach us self-mastery over our thoughts, our anger, and our greed.
A day will come when we analyze our education level not by how many books or degrees we have, but by our actions and self-control.
