After religion, the thing for which the most rivers of blood have been shed is land (Property). For this very land, one king would destroy the entire lineage of another king. For this same land, the British made thousands and millions of innocent people their slaves.
The fight for the rights over land has made fathers fight sons, brothers fight brothers, and friends fight friends — destroying all relationships.
But seeing all this, I can do nothing except laugh. I feel pity for their ignorance. Ask these foolish people: what will you even do with so much land and property? Do you need ten houses to live?Does your hunger get satisfied with bread made of gold? Does your thirst end with expensive alcohol instead of water? And above all, can this land give you peaceful sleep? Can money bring peace and joy to your mind?
But the opposite happens — the more money and land a person has, the more restless and greedy he becomes.
The bigger the houses, the fewer the people inside who actually sleep peacefully, because greed takes away their sleep, comfort, and peace.
Every person should ask themselves: is this land I am fighting for truly giving me happiness? Is having more property increasing unity and love within my family? Is this land helping me benefit even one human being?
When we answer these questions honestly, we will understand that to live a happy life, we don’t need a lot of land — we need a big heart, something that land and property can never give.
